Our subconscious has amazing coherence about who we are. It gives us ongoing tell-tales to encourage us to explore our inner drama further so we can find deeper integration and healing.
We all hold reality in different ways. In our heads we may carry an ideal of how things should be, but this sets us up for disappointment. Though it might give us nice feelings for a while, it is disconnected from our fuller reality.
Our bodies carry our physical reality. Unlike our mind, our body can’t escape anywhere. It can become very stressed living with unresolved issues, keeping our bodies tense. Each of us feel this tension in different areas. Even though it is constantly communicating with us, we don’t often listen to our body’s message – we may be saying one thing with words while our body is communicating a very different thing. We need to learn to ‘read’ our own body, to respect its rhythms, and to respond its tiny signals early on.
As we get in touch with and notice the particular pattern of our unique inner drama (so different from others around us), we can begin to understand ourselves and to shift in our behaviour. The incongruencies we live with need to come to unity. If we ignore them, we become victims of our own reality and do damage to ourselves. Every area of our lived reality, inside and out, is meant to be managed. With awareness, we can begin to choose different life-giving behaviour patterns.
